APF Donations

🌟 Imagine a park where nature thrives because you believed in it. 🌟

Anderson Park Friends has been working tirelessly to restore our community’s green heart — and the impact is already clear. Neighbors now enjoy safer, cleaner trails that bring families outdoors again, and native plant restorations have boosted local wildlife, creating a healthier, more vibrant ecosystem for everyone.

But our work is just beginning. In 2026, APF volunteers will create essential habitat for returning bobolink birds — a rare and joyful sight that depends on the grassland refuge we’re building together.

Your support today helps make this future real.

💚 Donate now, on national Giving Day and help Anderson Park flourish for generations.

It’s time to plan for the 2026 food pantry. You financial help supported the 2,700 pounds of fresh produce the pantry garden produced in 2025.

The garden supports 2 food pantries in Oregon and Verona (Badger Prairie Needs Network), WI.

APF partners with the Oregon Area Food Pantry, Oregon School District, and Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens.

💚 How You Can Help:

  • Volunteer: Join us for a fun, rewarding morning of gardening.
  • Donate: Funds support seeds, plants, tools, and more. All donations from this page support the food pantry garden and other conservation activities.

Labor is 100% volunteer. Your time is needed for 1-2 volunteer shifts on Tuesday mornings (8:30 -10:30 a.m. You’ll benefit by helping feed children, seniors, and those in need. Fresh produce is always in short supply at the pantries. Group opportunities available.

Your donation can also help. Funds support seeds (we need to buy these before 12/31/25 before they are all got), plants, fertilizer, equipment (and maintenance), tools, soil enhancement, and more!

🌱🌟 Join Us at the Anderson Farm Center Food Pantry Garden! 🌟🌱

We're looking for volunteers to support the 2025 Food Pantry Garden at Anderson Farm County Park, 805 Union Road, Oregon, WI. The work is seasonal between April and November of each year.

Help us provide fresh produce to local food pantries in Oregon and Verona, WI. Last year, we delivered over 900 pounds of vegetables to feed children, seniors, and families in need.

Why Volunteer?

  • Small Time, Big Impact: Just 1-2 shifts on Tuesday mornings (8:30 - 10:30 a.m.) make a huge difference. Other days and times of the week are available.
  • Community Impact: Your efforts help ensure everyone has access to healthy food.

Business Opportunities to Fight Hunger: APF will work with businesses who will sponsor a 1/8 or 1/4 acre garden plot in 2026. The basic plan includes APF volunteers supporting the business with soil enhancements, tilling, access to garden equipment including a rototiller, chipper, and hand tool. APF provides an irrigation system for easy access to water. The concept includes planting one crop like squash with a high yield. This concept supports annual donation to Oregon's Thanksgiving baskets to people in need. Business employees volunteer to plant seeds, weed and water the vegetable, as well as harvest the crop.

Together, we can grow hope and nourish our community. Let's make 2025 our best year yet!
