🌱🌟 Join Us at the Anderson Farm Center Food Pantry Garden! 🌟🌱
We're looking for volunteers to support the 2025 Food Pantry Garden at Anderson Farm County Park, 805 Union Road, Oregon, WI. The work is seasonal between April and November of each year.
Help us provide fresh produce to local food pantries in Oregon and Verona, WI. Last year, we delivered over 900 pounds of vegetables to feed children, seniors, and families in need.
✨ Why Volunteer?
- Small Time, Big Impact: Just 1-2 shifts on Tuesday mornings (8:30 - 10:30 a.m.) make a huge difference. Other days and times of the week are available.
- Community Impact: Your efforts help ensure everyone has access to healthy food.
Business Opportunities to Fight Hunger: APF will work with businesses who will sponsor a 1/8 or 1/4 acre garden plot. The basic plan includes APF volunteers supporting the business with soil enhancements, tilling, access to garden equipment including a rototiller, chipper, and hand tool. APF provides an irrigation system for easy access to water. The concept includes planting one crop like squash with a high yield. This concept supports annual donation to Oregon's Thanksgiving baskets to people in need. Business employees volunteer to plant seeds, weed and water the vegetable, as well as harvest the crop.
Together, we can grow hope and nourish our community. Let's make 2025 our best year yet!
