Jeff Olson Memorial
Honoring the Life and Legacy of Jeff Olson
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Jeff “Ole” Olson, a beloved member of the Oregon-Brooklyn community, who passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the age of 63.
Jeff’s unwavering dedication to our community left an enduring mark. Through his business, Arbor Systems, and his personal passion for giving back, he played an instrumental role in the development of Anderson Farm County Park. As a certified arborist and long-time business partner to Chris Heise, Jeff built a successful tree service company, often providing non-profit discounts and extending a helping hand wherever needed.
One of Jeff’s proudest contributions was his leadership in the annual Arbor Day event for 6th graders at Rome Corners Intermediate School. Since its launch in 2014, this hands-on event at the park introduced hundreds of students to the wonders of trees and nature. A crowd favorite was the “tree climbing” station, where Jeff and his crew taught students how to climb using ropes, pulleys, and harnesses.
His dedication to environmental education earned him the prestigious Gold Leaf Award. The award is given by the Wisconsin Arborist Association (WAA), to recognize individuals for outstanding Arbor Day activities.
Jeff also believed in nurturing the next generation. Through career day events with Oregon High Schools students, he shared his knowledge and passion for the arborist profession, providing students with invaluable insights into outdoor careers. His approachable nature and genuine advice left a lasting impression, inspiring young people to explore new possibilities.
Jeff lived by the belief, “There’s givers and takers — it’s always better to be on the giving side.”
His spirit of generosity continues to inspire us all.
