Dogs welcome!Join us at Anderson Farm County Park to check out our newest Dane County Dog Park and enjoy a fun opening celebration. This 36-acre off-leash dog park (including a 2.5-acre small dog area) is Dane County Park's 8th dog park and features limestone trails through the restored prairie.Come early to get a parking spot and avoid the crowd.County Executive, Joe Parisi, will be doing an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:00 p.m.Sponsors & Partners

2022 Candlelight Hike and Bonfire
The annual event is a community favorite. Over 750 people attended this fun, family, event, in 2021.
The event includes a variety of activities. The hiking trail through the Sholts Forest and Prairie is lit with tiki torches and luminaries. A bonfire is located in the Sholts picnic area. Limited snacks and beverages are available at no cost.
The event is usually co-sponsored with the Oregon Wellness Coalition and the Healthy Parks Project. The local boy and girl scout troops provide volunteer help with set-up and clean-up. Sponsorships are available to local businesses.
