Many of our activities are weather dependent. Cancellations are usually made on site at the park just prior to the start time.
If listed, contact the event coordinator for more information.
Join Us! Help Dane County Park's Department (DCP) natural areas staff and APF volunteers continue restoration work at Anderson Farm County Park’s forests and prairies.
Work is seasonal and dependent on the weather and conditions. From November through March we work on forest restoration activities. Activities from April through October include the food pantry garden, forest restoration, and native/flower beds.
Any inclement weather decisions are made at the park (914 Union Road), just before the start time. Dress for the weather and wet/dry conditions.
APF will provide orientations and all equipment.
Native plants and restored forests promote biodiversity and stewardship of our natural heritage.
The Board of Directors meets the third Wednesday of each month to manage the affairs of the organization. An in-person or Zoom meeting format may be used.
Agendas address seasonal activites such as work, educational, and/or social events. The topic(s) are often seasonal and focus on forest restoration, building prairies, educational events, and the Anderson Farm Center. The main activities at the center are the Food Pantry and Community Gardens (23).
The meetings are open to the public.
If you are interested in attending, please use the R.S.V. P. function to send an email to the meeting coordinator.
